How can I cancel my hotel reservations for HX: The Hotel Experience Powered by AAHOA 2020?

If you booked hotel accommodations in the HX 2020 hotel block via our official housing vendor, onPeak, your reservation will be automatically canceled. If you booked a hotel reservation outside the onPeak system and the HX 2020 block, you must cancel/transfer your hotel reservation on your own.

What are the dates and location for HX 2021?

November 14-15 at the Javits Center in New York City.

How do I reserve a booth for HX 2021?

Your account executive will be reaching out to you by late September to review the floorplan and contract a booth for next year.

Will I get the same booth location for HX 2021?

We will try our best to offer the same booth location for companies renewing, however due to COVID-19, some changes may have to be made to the floorplan for 2021 to be in compliance with the Javits Center’s new rules.

Is the floorplan staying the same for BDNY and HX for 2021?

Our goal is to maintain the same floor plan for 2021; however, some slight changes may become necessary to be in compliance with new rules. In cases where your exact booth location is no longer available, we will work with you to secure a comparable booth location.

What if I want the same booth size and location for 2021, but am unable to sign a contract right now?

During this unprecedented time we are certainly aware this could be an issue, and we will do all we can to be as flexible as possible. Please contact your account executive to discuss further options.

Do I need to make a deposit to secure my booth?

As is normal procedure, we will be asking for a deposit of one-third of the total booth cost upon signing of your contract as a deposit to secure your space.  If you need more time for your deposit, please talk to your account executive about payment plan options.

Can I roll funds paid towards HX 2020 to HX 2021?

Yes, you can transfer the money you have paid for your 2020 booth to 2021. We are not increasing the renewing booth rate, so the cost of the booth will remain the same unless you change the size of your booth. We recommend an ACH transfer for at least the deposit to avoid paying a 2.5% fee for credit cards. If you have paid more in 2020 than is required for your 2021 deposit, you will have the option to roll over the full amount towards your 2021 booth, or you can request the balance be refunded.

Do I have to get the same booth for HX 2021, or can I select a different location/size?

We will work with any company that wants to change their booth size for HX.

How can I cancel my flight?

Many airlines are offering waived change fees at this time. If you have already booked your flight, we recommend canceling as soon as possible.

What if I was slated to be a speaker at HX 2020?

Please stay tuned. Our conference team will be in touch in the coming weeks with more details. We are currently reviewing the program to determine which sessions may be a good fit for HX 2021 and how other topics can be repurposed.

Will you offer any virtual speaking opportunities?

HX and our conference partner AAHOA have been exploring ways to deliver state-of-the-art education and expert content to the hospitality interior design community year-round. We will keep you posted regarding future opportunities.
