LOVELAND, CO – HX: The News has been on hiatus for a while, but the reboot is finally here. Like a superhero movie, it will have many sequels and hopefully a glimpse of greatness here and there.
HX: The Hotel Experience (co-located with BDNY) has an already excellent team in place for the Nov 11-12 conference in New York, and I humbly join the team as editor of the newly revived newsletter. I do so with a keen eye toward promoting the show, but also to generating interesting and informative content.
As a journalist by trade, I claim no exalted knowledge of the hotel industry. While I’ve read a lot about it in the past few weeks, and listened to a few of Glenn Haussman’s podcasts, that’s a drop in the proverbial bucket. It’s my hope that you will take my calls and let me know when a new and interesting topic begs to be covered. I have always been interested in subcultures and the inherent professional challenges confronted by experts in their field.
Taking a glance at the educational topics offered at HX, I get a sense of the level of detail that must be mastered. I hope you let me know what feature articles I should pursue. We want to balance news about the show with general interest, in addition to anecdotes that illustrate vital principles.
