Vollrath Adds to the Creative Well at Duality | The Hotel Experience

NEW YORK, NY – Assembling the Duality puzzle for this year’s highly anticipated Foodservice Pioneering Concept requires the right pieces. Vollrath Company LLC is helping to realize Duality’s cross functional set-up, specifically designed to exist in a concourse or lobby.

“We provided a hot/cold well,” explains Katharine Mizla (pictured), design solutions manager, Vollrath Company. “We make anywhere from one to four wells, individually controlled, so you can have hot next to cold, cold next to hot, or all hot or all cold depending on what your needs require at that particular meal period.”

Vollrath’s relationship with HX: The Hotel Experience Powered by AAHOA started two years ago when they were invited to build a pivot point bar for the 2017 FPC. For Vollrath, it’s an opportunity to show off its considerable repertoire.

“Vollrath is mostly known for pots and pans, yet we have a full division that is focused on equipment—cooking equipment, holding equipment, and serving lines,” Mizla says. “We also own a company called Stoelting that makes frozen treats. We have a much bigger equipment division than most people would think. People think of us for small-wares and pots and pans, but they forget the other side of Vollrath, which is the large items.”

Attendees who explore Vollrath’s offerings will find an array of induction products, from food holding to cooking. “Our serving systems are also constantly evolving,” Mizla says. “We make some really nice equipment, and a lot of people don’t think of us for that, so I always like to mention that we do, in fact, have a great serving system factory.”

As an avid supporter of HX and the consultant community, Mizla has seen a glimpse of the FPC. Attendees at the Nov 10-11 show will be able to see it in action, but Mizla reveals, “It’s a really neat concept. Its flexibility and how it can be multiple concepts within one concept is what makes Duality so cool.”
